Primary Transitional
The brief stated “keep it consistent with the rest of the house and make it a sanctuary.” This makeover kept the furniture and worked in the same tones as the cherry wood. This saved a lot of money. The textured wallpaper contrasts the ridged grid of the headboard and was painted with a new coat of paint to match the rest of the walls. The ceiling was also repainted with a lighter shade and extended down the wall to a second crown detail moulding. The nightstand lights were replaced with new ones that hang from the ceiling. The ceiling fan echoes the black of the lamps and provides a gentle breeze in the summer. The rug grounds the entire room and anchors all elements. The client was thrilled.
